LA Wine
The project consists of an intimate wrap-around bar and table seating area for a California focused wine bar. All design decisions were guided by a respect for natural simplicity; materials are intended to enhance the tasting experience, not detract.
Cool plaster walls are flanked by ribbed Redwood panels that wrap the perimeter and envelop the ceiling plane, while a large, continuous antique mirror serves as both display ledge and light mechanism. Crude tile are set on the bar plane and a low blackened poplar bench frames the perimeter of the space.
